Where to find Anthony Quinn beach in Rhodes, Greece
If you would like to visit Anthony Quinn beach in Rhodes, Greece don’t worry, it will not be difficult at all. The bay of Anthony Quinn is situated only about 2,5 kilometers away from the southern side Faliraki, which is one of the largest tourist resorts of the island with several hotels, apartments and restaurants. The bay of Anthony Quinn and Faliraki village are separated by just a few hills from each other.
On the highway of Rhodes, called ‘National Road’ there are road signs, which show Ladiko beach: this is the junction, where you must leave the main road about 1 kilometer away from Faliraki. The side road which leads to Ladiko beach is the same, which leads to Anthony Quinn beach!
Next to the narrow road you will meet first a small church, and after just a few hundres meters you will reach the first magnificient bay, Ladiko (Παραλία Λάδικου in Greek). This small bay is an another beautiful beach in Rhodes island, but if you would like to visit Anthony Quinn beach, just go further on the narrow road, your destination is just about 300 meters away from here. Be careful while you drive between Ladiko beach and Anthony Quinn beach, because the road gets much narrow on this last section and there is oncoming traffic also.
At the end of the road there is a small parking lot of Anthony Quinn bay for approx. 50 cars, which is free. It’s worth to arrive here by car in the morning hours, because the number of parking places are limited. Anthony Quinn beach can be reached by bus: the local bus stop is located at the junction of National Road, signed as Ladiko bus stop. The bays are located here about 2 kilometers away, the walk takes about 20-25′ minutes.

From the parking lot you have to walk to the restaurant of Anthony Quinn bay, where some stairs lead down to the beach. You will meet some interesting cactuses next to the stairs, and a lookout point with some benches and natural shade. On the beach you reach first the organized parts with some parasols and sunbeds, or you can walk slightly further away, where you can put your stuff between large stones and pebbles.
The beautiful bay is surrounded by steep cliffs and large rocks, on the hills with lush mediterranean vegetation: this features give Anthony Quinn beach romantic charm and untouched look. The seabed is quite shallow and usually waveless, several parts of the beach are well sheltered from winds also. Due to the coarse sand, large rocks and pebbles of the sea water shoes may needed for sensitive soles.
Between the rocks there are not much natural shade, so if you spend a few hours here, it is worth to rent a sunbed.
